Unfortunately, dentures are NOT a great replacement for teeth. They are better than nothing, but they can only bite and chew with 50% of the force that teeth can, and they can move around. Dentures are the dental equivalent of peg leg. Better than hoping around on one foot, but NOT a replacement for what you were born with. Dental implants now make it possible to securely fasten your dentures to your jaw. This eliminates many of the problems associated with dentures, such as movement and popping up when chewing.
